PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Gracilaria chilensis (Pelillo / Ogonori / オゴノリ) is a red marine macroalga manually harvested along the South Pacific coastline of Chile, across the regions of O'Higgins, Biobío, Araucanía, and Los Lagos. All harvesting operations are regulated by Chile's Undersecretariat of Fisheries and Aquaculture (SUBPESCA) under a sustainable quota system. It is the primary raw material for industrial and food-grade agar-agar extraction, with strong demand in Japan, Korea, China, Europe, and North America.
